THE RED PARTY IN T&T WINS with the DOCTOR!
Nassau, Bahamas — Dr. Keith Rowley led the People’s National Movement last night to victory as they captured 23 of the 41 constituencies. The big win toppled the GOLD RUSH leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar government. The PNM was declared winner of the 2015 General Election late into the evening.
Dr. Rowley’s PNM improved on their 2010 showing where they had won 12 seats to form the opposition.
Kamla’s People’s Partnership, who had 29 of the 41 seats and formed the government over the past five years struggled to win 18 seats and will now be thrown on the opposition bench.
The Independent Liberal Party led by Jack Warner did not make an impression with the voting public and failed to capture a single seat. They sound much like the DNA!
