When will regulation come to Jet Ski operators?

Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press has now identified that drowning victim as Tanisha Smith.

According to reports two females around 7pm Sunday were riding on a Jet Ski driven by a male operator off West Bay Street, when the Jet Ski capsized.

After a few minutes in the water the Jet Ski operator was able to rescue the two females and take them to shore. Was Smith fitted with a life vest? Could she swim? And if she could swim and had a life vest how is it she drowned?

Someone needs to look closely at this sector.
