Man Convicted for Murder escapes minutes after his conviction!
Nassau, Bahamas – Bahamas Press has breaking news this afternoon where a prison convicted of murder is on the run. Police have launched a massive island-wide manhunt for a prisoner convicted of murder, who escaped from a police transport vehicle today.
BP can tell you that shortly after 12:00noon, the prisoner, identified as 26 – year-old, Ormand Leon, escaped from a police transport vehicle in the area of York Street off East Bay Street whilst being escorted to The Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Leon is a dark brown male of a slim built, about 5’ 9” to 5’ 11” who frequents the Moore Avenue, Homestead and Miami Streets area. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a blue jean pants.
Police consider Leon to be armed and dangerous – if he is spotted members of the public are urge not to approach him but instead call police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS).
