Eyesore in the Harbour at Potter’s Cay

Lady D in water still.

Nassau Bahamas — An eyesore has developed in the harbour along the Potter’s Cay Dock, where the sunken ship called the Lady D has yet to be removed.

BP was in the area last night and wondered how long will it be before the ship will be recovered?

The M/V “Lady D” served Central Andros / Fresh Creek & Staniard Creek. It had been serving Central Andros since 1976. The first “Lady D” was built around 1979/1980 and the second (this one) was built in 1992.

It sunk in the harbour at Potter’s Cay in late July.
