Nassau, Bahamas — We attended the town meeting held by the Government last Thursday at the Hilton. We watched the replay on TV and cried SHAME on the ministers who put on a Muppet Show for the people. If this were not so serious and involved so much taxpayer’s money, we would have had a good laugh.
The Minister of Tourism Curly (Vincent Vanderpool Wallace) was just there. Larry (Neko Grant) was there but did not know where he was. He was out to lunch, again! Moe (Earl Deveaux) was being cute and lying for his master Brent Symonette. Please minister Moe; tell us why you continue to say that Brent did not chair the meeting on July 24th, 2007, when the minutes clearly state that he did [the-minutes-of-the-meeting-chaired-by-dpm-symonette]? Why don’t he deny it? Why you lying for him?
Now the real questions are;
- Why spend $76 million dollars for 19 people?
- Who are these 19 people?
- Are they black or white?
- Are they supporters and benefactors of the FNM?
- Why is the price the same as Jimmy Mosko indicated in July 2007?
- Is he doing the work at Arawak Cay?
Now Dr. Minnis said the beach might be closed but Earl says no. Who is lying? HOW IS IT THAT THE CONCH HAS TO COME OUT OF THE WATER ALL THE WAY TO POTTERS CAY, BUT PEOPLE CAN SWIM 25 FEET FROM THE DREDGING ON LONG WHARF.
What disturbs us the most was that Minister Deveaux says on one hand that the government has the unfettered right over the seabed, but the government would negotiate with the seven families on equity sharing for the extension of Woodes Rodgers Wharf to Armstrong Street.
BP hopes the masses see the play, it is ok to take ‘Minky’ and Dr. Sawyer’s property without notice, but Hubert would negotiate with the White Knights. Remember, this is the people’s money going to enrich a few.
Now BP wants to show how they really think we are the Muppets. It is reported that Michael Barnett IS TO BE THE Chief Justice, Lynn Holowesko, the Governor General and Brian Moree, the AG. Well, Hubert is completing the UBPIZATION of the country. The ‘Delivery Boy’ is delivering the country whole to the White Knights whilst cronies just sit idly by; including Christie, WHAT A SHAME! Word is, the AG will prosecute, the CJ will convict and the GG will sign your death warrant!
We must stand up to this ‘vicked’ plot by Hubert and the Bay Street ‘Robber Barons’ led by Brent Symonette. This is ‘vicked’, they know this is Hubert’s last time and they want everything. Did Hubert forget he called Brent brother Bobby “greedy” with the cable deal, well Brent is 10 times worse!
We need to rise up, and demonstrate, as the ‘Robber Barons’ only respect people power. We need to find who are these 19 people who will benefit from the country spending $76 million. Young Bahamian students cannot get funding for tertiary education from the government, but it can find $74 million for the ‘ROBBER BARONS’. Nurses cannot get insurance, but we could find $74 million for the Bay Street ‘Robber Barons’ led by Brent Symonette.
We need to put a stop to this madness. We cry shame on Mugabe and his band of Muppets! We wonder if they put on shows for their masters enjoyment. The people are tired, we are not laughing. It’s time to take our country back.

The team looked like a sorry site. I know VWV wondering how he ever get himself in this, when he was sitting comfortably in his former job!! Neko Grant is a dunce and I just don’t understand why he continues to remain a Minister! Shucks he makes Ken Russell look like a genius! I am surprised at Minnis yet again he refuses to go against the grain. The PLP well I don’t know why they keeping quiet, must be some reason we don’t know!

@BP. I was also at the meeting last thursday but was on the outside because I came a little late.. But after the permanent Secretary announced that the meeting only had about 10 minutes left in the meeting Dr. Minis came running outside saying that he gat to get out of there because them people in there are too hot and he does not want to be around when the meeting finished then he left!!
Could you believe that he would do that to his constituients who are looking for answers??? I wonder who these guys care about in this country?? Not even a word from him at the meeting to calm the fears of his constituients!!! What a shame… The PLP aint gat NOTHING to say because they probably would have done the same thing!! I sometimes wonder if the PLP has any intention of winning the next election..
HI has all of his ministers so afraid of him that they are all like puppets!!! Whatever HI tells them to say, that’s what they say!! That’s why I don’t believe in the PM (whoever he might be) controlling his ministers in this way because they should be there to represent their constituients and NOT any leader of either party!!! Their should be rules laid out and the PM carries out them!!! But his ministers should NOT be afraid to speak out on any issue!!
The Bahamas would have probably been just like Haiti if it wern’t for the whites… So if you’ll bunch of blacks who are still like slaves in the hole keep pulling eachother down when one emerges financially, then why not alow us whites to eat you’ll pie while you’ll fight over “whose pie is it anyway”… I am trying to show you people how you continue to loose out… you war against your own race too much….

Bahamians support the dredging of the harbour,however we are against adding acres of valuable WATER FRONT PROPERTY to the rich bay street boys AT TAXPAYERS EXPENSE.One must take note that the prime minister stated that any down town owner who repairs his building will be GRANTED DUTY FREE CONCESSIONS OF THE BUILDING SUPPLIES,A FIVE YEAR BUSINESS LICENCE EXEMPTION AND A FIVE YEAR REAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION.This EXCESS amount of GOODIES IS SUFFICIENT TO MAKE A HOG OBESE!!!Indeed these Bay Street Boys are reaping a 10,000% return on their investment of funding the FNM 2007 election campaign.Meanwhile,the average Bahamians are being reduced to poverty as a result of MASSIVE JOBS LOSSES,INFLATION AND OUR GOVERNMENT SPENDING OUR MONIES ON THE WEALTHY.MAY GOD HELP US!!!
