Cat Island, Bahamas — A 48-year-old man of Orange Creek Cat Island is in a jail here in New Providence today after allegations of having sexual intercourse with a minor.

Bahamas Press understands the victim is only 14-years-old. We are not aware of the details of the crime nor are we knowledgeable of the relationship the abuser was to the victim. All we have right now it that the victim was a student.

No authority other than the police has issued a statement on the incident.
