BP has identified the accident victim as Sean Saunders…
Nassau, Bahamas – Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 31-year-old man who lost his life when he became pinned under a vehicle on Tuesday 6th September 2016.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that shortly before 10:00pm, the man was in the process of changing a tire on a public service bus on Blue Hill Road South, when the tire jack apparently malfunctioned — which then caused the vehicle to fall down on top of him; crushing his head under the weight of the vehicle.
BP has identified the victim as Sean Saunders.
Citizens assisted Police in lifting the vehicle off the man, and paramedics then began life-saving measures. Unfortunately though, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just a few months ago another man, who attempted to repair a vehicle on the corner of a main corridor in the eastern section of New Providence, died similarly. Another driver bumped his vehicle and he too died under the weight of the car.
