Another man shot in Murphy Town

Abaco, Bahamas – Police on Abaco need your help in identifying the driver responsible for a hit and run accident that occurred in the Crown Haven area over the weekend.

According to reports sometime around 10:22pm on Friday a male was walking west along S.C. Bootle Highway in the area of the Church of God of Prophecy Crown Haven, when he was struck by a passing vehicle, which failed to stop.

The victim was assisted to the Fox Town Government Clinic. He was airlifted to Princess Margaret Hospital, New Providence to seek further medical treatment and he is listed in stable condition.

In the second instance police on Abaco are investigating a shooting which has resulted in a male being hospitalized.

According to reports sometime around 12:05am on Saturday morning a male resident of New Providence presented himself to the Marsh Harbour Government Clinic and reported that while in the Murphy Town area he was approached by two men, one produced a firearm and shot him in the right leg.

The victim was transported to the Princess Margaret Hospital to seek further medical treatment and is listed in stable condition.

Two males are being sought in connection with this shooting incident.

Police are investigating and are appealing to members of the public who may have any information regarding these incidents to contact police at 911, 919, or the MARSH HARBOUR POLICE STATION @ 367-2560.
