BP update following that tragedy last evening…
Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press is now reporting a suicide which has left a woman and her two children dead.
BP agents have identified the victims to be 36-year-old, Shemicka McKinney formally of Bernard Road/Cowpen Road and her daughters. 6-year-old Gabriel and 3-year-old Alicia.
The family died when the woman drove her vehicle overboard. They were pulled from waters at the Montague Ramp on Sunday.
According to reports, shortly after 10:00 pm police officers were on patrol in the area of the Montague Ramp when persons in the area informed them that a vehicle had just gone overboard.
The officers sprung into action and immediately went overboard where they located a dark blue Avalon vehicle submerged in the water. With the assistance of a wrecker, the vehicle was brought near to the shoreline, where the officers found the lifeless bodies of an adult female along with two small children inside the vehicle, who they then took to shore.
The officers performed CPR but were unsuccessful. EMS personnel pronounced the woman and the two small children dead at the scene.
The father of the children never showed up at the scene… BOY I TELL YA!
