A BREAKING BP NEWS ALERT: BP is reporting a rising level of blood on the street of the capital at this hour. Just after 7PM a man was fatally shot in Augusta Street area. This latest murder is being classified as a drive by shooting. The young male victim is a resident of Pinewood Gardens.

Two Women Shot in Rupert Dean Lane

Two women were shot in the thigh shortly before 1pm today at a residence on Rupert Dean Lane.  This is a domestic dispute. The shooter is an ex-boyfriend of one of the females. Their injuries are not serious.

BP is reporting just minutes ago another shooting

Just moments ago a man was shot in the leg on Homestead Street. His injuries are not serious. This is another drive by shooting.

SHOOTING

Sometime around 7:15 pm on Friday 10th December 2010 police received information of a shooting at Eneas Street off Poinciana Drive.  Police responded and information received that a male was in the area of Eneas Street when he was approached by a male with dread locks armed with a handgun who fired gunshots in his direction which resulted in the victim receiving multiple gunshot injuries.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition.  Police are investigating.

SHOOTING

Sometime around 7:30 pm on Friday 10th December, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Hutchinson Street.  Police responded and information received that a male was walking on north on Hutchinson Street when he was approached by a silver Honda vehicle occupied by three (3) males.  It is reported that one of the males exited the vehicle produced a handgun t fired gunshots in the direction of the male which resulted in that male receiving gunshot injury to the right  leg.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he detained in stable condition.  Police are investigating.

DEATH OF AN INFANT

Police are investigating the death of an infant.  Sometime around 10:24 am on Saturday 11th December, 2010 police received information of an unresponsive infant.  The infant was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he was pronounced dead. Police are investigating.  .

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 6:33 pm on Saturday 11th December, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at VIP Chinese Express Restaurant, East Street and Cordeaux Avenue.  Police responded and information received that a male wearing a white tam, plaid shirt and long blue jeans pant, entered the establishment allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash.  The culprit robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating.

FIREARM ARREST

Sometime around 8:30 am on Saturday 11th December, 2010 officers of the mobile division were on routine patrol on August Street when they observed a male acting suspiciously.  The male on seeing the police ran.  Officers gave chase caught up with the suspect and recovered two (2) handguns and an assortment of ammunition.  The 28 year old of Quarry Mission Road, was taken into custody.  Police investigations continue.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 7:45 pm on Saturday 11th December, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at D&C Convenience Store, Fire Trail West.  Police responded and information received that two masked males, one of whom was allegedly armed with a shotgun entered the establishment demanding cash.  The culprits robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating.

FIREARM ARREST

Sometime around 10:55 pm on Saturday 11th December, 2010 officers of the Special Intelligence Branch were on routine patrol on Potters Cay Dock when they observed a male acting suspiciously. Officers conducted a search of the male and recovered a handgun with ammunition.  The 35 year old of Dorsette Street, Fox Hill was taken into custody.  Police investigations continue.

ARMED ROBBERY

Sometime around 2:15 am on Saturday 12th December, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Keith’s Chicken Shack, Fleming Street.  Police responded and information received that a male wearing a white t-shirt and a blue jeans pant, with a scarf about his face, entered the establishment allegedly armed with a high powered weapon demanding cash.  The culprit robbed the establishment of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area on foot in an easterly direction on Fleming Street. Police are investigating.
