ARMED ROBBERY
Around 7:00 pm on Saturday 24th July, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Destiny General Trading Store, Farrington Road. Police responded and information received that two males one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun entered the establishment demanding cash. They robbed the establishment of an undisclosed amount of cash and cell phones and two patrons of jewelry and cell phones. The culprit s fled the area in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.
STABBING
Around 1:10 am on Sunday 25th July, 2010 police received information of a stabbing at Tonique Williams Darling Highway. Police responded and information received that a 15 year old boy while at Tonique Williams Darling Highway was attacked by a group of men and subsequently stabbed multiple times to the body. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in stable condition. Police are investigating.
SHOOTING
Around 12:30 am on Sunday 25th July, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Cottonwood Street, Pinewood Gardens. Police responded and information received that two males while at Cottonwood Street Pinewood Gardens, were approached by a heavily tinted Honda Inspire occupied by a masked male. It is reported the culprit fired gunshots in their direction which resulted in both males receiving gunshot injuries. Both males were taken to hospital via EMS personnel where they are listed in stable condition. Police are
HOMICIDE
Shortly after 1:00 am on Sunday 25th July, 2010 police received information of a shooting at Balfour Avenue between Washington Street and Podoleo Street. Police responded and discovered the lifeless body of a male inside the driver’s seat of a black 1993 Nissan 300 ZX L/P 233852 with multiple gunshot injuries to the body. It is reported that the decease on arrival to his residence at Balfour Avenue was approached by two (2) males both allegedly armed with handguns that fired gunshots in his direction. EMS responded and pronounced the victim dead. The decease is believed to be 23 year old resident of Balfour Ave. Police are investigating.
