Nassau, Bahamas – A 6th man has died raising the murder count to another record early this morning this time at the PMH. BP records the count is now 101 following the death of a man on bail for murder.

BP can confirm murder accused on bail, Israel Lubin, succumbed to his injuries at the PMH early this morning after suffering gunshot wounds last week.

Lubin, a 24-year-old of Montell Heights, was charged with the April 14 murder of Tekoya McKinney, who was gunned down as he stood outside a building at Cordeaux Avenue and Minnie Street.

As reported by the Nassau Guardian, Senior Supreme Court Justice Jon Isaacs approved Lubin’s release on $30,000 bail with two sureties on the condition that he be tagged with an ankle bracelet and that he reports to the Fox Hill Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays before 6 p.m.

However just days after his bail, sometime last weekend, Lubin, his wife and child was all shot up while sleeping in their Johnson Road home. Reports tell us a gunman opened fired on the family from the bedroom window early Sunday morning.

Lubin is the 6th man to die at the hands of another in the last 24 hours and is the 9th following the National Day of Prayer.

Chief Justice Sir Michael Barnett is pictured during an inspection of the guard of honour, prior to a special sitting of the Supreme Court. Many believe corruption in the criminal justice system has lead to the death of hundreds of citizens in the Bahamas.
