Nassau, Bahamas — Sources deep inside the FNM now tell Bahamas Press the leadership of the FNM is looking into conceding defeat in the Elizabeth. Breaking news now coming into our newsroom say Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham is now prepared to accept defeat in the by-election.
PLP leader has suggested he is now prepared to take the matter to Election Court. Five voters who voted in Elizabeth in the 2007 General Elections was removed by the negligence of the Parliamentary Registrar’s office. Bahamas Press has learned all 5 voters are said to be in the favour of PLP candidate Ryan Pinder.
Following the count yesterday Pinder collected 1,499 and Sands 1,501, however, with the 5 protest votes Pinder is projected to be the winner of the Lizzy vote. The big question now hovering over the country is this, with no winner declared and thus no one being allowed a seated in Parliament, will Hubert Ingraham now concede defeat?
Bahamas Press can also confirm Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Hubert Ingraham will now set the wheels of motion in play for the FNM to elect a new leader of the Party. FNM convention is set for this November 2010. PAPA GONE!!!!!
Papa made an interesting observation during his press conference yesterday, ( which is why he is still ‘simply the best! ): Do we have secret ballots in our Elections or no? If yes, how is it that the PLP knows that the 5 who voted on protest ballots cast their vote for the PLP candidate?
I think Rodney Muncor told the people of Elizabeth ‘VOTE FOR ME or DO NOT VOTE AT ALL.’
That being said I would say Rodney Muncor is the overall winner.

I must disagree with you as bahamnasyouth is my punching bag and he was in a class I am teaching.A good doormat is hard to find ,he replaced others who left and reported me to PAPA.General Elections should be held in may 02 2010 but PAPA says he has 2 and 1/2 yrs.Like bahamasyouth he cant count as my calculation say 2 yrs and 2 m onths.10/10 the Bible 10
@Truth. Obviously you don’t believe in DEMOCRACY…. There are rules to be followed under these circumstances and they are being followed!! Why put the laws on the book if they are not to be used??? And just so you know, it is clear that the majority of persons who voted, supported Ryan!!! If anyone should concede, it should be Dr. Sands!!
Wow this election court case is really close. There should be no need for election court to interfere with the peoples decision whether its by one or two votes.
I got dibs on the replacement for leader of the FNM, qualities (and I use the term loosely) include, mannerisms equal to that of Papa, strong convictions and a scary allegiance to the mis-direction of the leadership and the country, and last but not least………………..the people’s eyebrow, Ladies and Gentlemen, the new leader of the FNM, The Hon. AN ambassador and an elected official are two seperate positions with totally different prereqisites. Many Honorary Counsels in the Bahamas today are Bahamians who represent foreign governments.

kevin mckenzie, no one, ansolutely no one ever said Ryan wasnt a bahamian.Neither, Sydney Poitier or Fred Smith ran for public office.I think if you close one eye and swint the next, you could still see the difference between Poitier’s appointment as ambassador and Pinder’s seeking to be a part of a constitutional arm of government….there’s a difference my bruddah!!

BP, Perry Christie, gave me that impression today. In so may words he said PINDER is the true winner with 5 protest ballots. This is sad if that is not the case.
However, Kenyatta Gibson, Independent Kennedy MP, left out a few other characteristics of Christie when he lambasted him in the House of Assembly in 2008.
Added to that list is: THE MASTER OF DECEPTION and KING OF UNACOUNTABILITY
Mr. Gibson, said these words, which I thought was too harsh, but after listening to Christie today, I believe he was right on….
He (Mr. CHRISTIE) is arch-mediocrity, captain of all things small and petty, master of all things which are insignificant and void. He is best described as the man who is an expert at using shallow words dressed up in glittering phrases. His word and promises count for nothing!
So as to make it clear I wish the record to reflect that Perry Christie is no longer fit to lead the Party of Pindling, Butler & Hanna. Mr Gibson said.

Indeed all would recall how on every available occasion during his term in office he took the opportunity to remind the country that he spoke “as Prime Minister of The Bahamas…… as if he would have allowed us to forget it.
