Nassau, Bahamas: Bahamas Press finds it distressing when it comes to members of the opposition PLP now on the defense in responding to LIES published in the FNM’s machine about their departures from the party. The tactic now being orchestrated by the machinery of the FNM (GUARIAN, ‘Toilet Paper’ TRIBUNE, PUNCH AND FREEPORT NEWS, Riley Show, Oswald ‘Why you scared a MURDER’ Brown, P. Anthony White, The Scribe (INGRAHAM) and the rest we cannot remember now) has resoundingly accused members of the PLP of getting ready to distance themselves from the party.
All three PLPs Obie Wilchcombe, Glenys Hanna-Martin and Picewell Forbes have all penned in short responses a denial of the LIES reported in the WUTLESS MEDIA about them crossing the floor and joining the FNM.
Bahamas Press finds this distressing because it appears that members of the PLP today does not know anymore how to respond to FALSE PRESS REPORTS! Had we been asked to respond to the statements in the press our statement to the WUTLESS MEDIA would read as follows:

“It is regrettable and equally distressing to see members of the WUTLESS MEDIA spin LIES and circulate misinformation about members of the PLP to a community that has felt the hardest economic crisis since the GREAT DEPRESSION brought on by Hubert Ingraham and the FNM!
Members of the media find it not SERIOUS to report Ingraham’s STOP, CANCEL and REVIEW policy of over $90 million in capital works, left in place by the PLP to employ thousands of now unemployed Bahamians in need of work. But yet, they all find it as news to circulate more misinformation on members of the PLP.
The PLP members mentioned in the GUTTER PRESS, find it difficult to join an FNM government that has:
• TERMINATED OVER 1,200 TEMPORARY GOVERNMENT WORKERS.
• STOPPED THE CONSTURCTION OF THE STRAW MARKET.
• FIRED SENIOR PUBLIC OFFICERS IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE.
• SENT HOME YOUNG POLICE OFFICERS.
• SENT HOME IMMIGRATION OFFICERS.
• AND HAS SENT HOME TODAY SCORES of CUSTOM OFFICERS.
Wilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes all find it difficult to join an FNM government that has overseen the termination of thousands of workers across this country, and a government that has led the way in creating the highest unemployment numbers seen in our country in modern times.
Wilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes all find it difficult to join an FNM that has disconnected thousand of poor Bahamians from BEC electricity supplies and has done nothing to protect Bahamians from the raising cost of food and fuel over the last fiscal period.
Wilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes all find it difficult to join an FNM that has raised TAXES on over 160,000 items with the bill now being passed on to the ordinary worker in this country. The largest tax increase in the history of this country, causing businesses to collapse like Pepsi Cola Bahamas and Price Busters to close their doors for good.
Wilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes all find it difficult to join an FNM that has STOPPED over a projected $20 billion in anchor development projects when coming to power, putting out of work thousands of local carpenters, masons, tile layers, plumbers, and painters at construction sites around the country, whilst Ingraham’s government passes borrowed money to an Argentine construction company to put tar on roads in the Bahamas.
Wilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes all find it UNTHINKABLE to join an FNM that has threatened to put government homeowners out-on-the-streets as they did to scores of hurricane shelter victims in Grand Bahama, leaving jobless single mothers helpless and hopeless with their babies crying for food.
Therefore, whilst one in his high headiness has closed his eyes to reality, and walked the floor to join the FNM, forgetting that the people of this country are under heavy pains by its leader, thousands of ordinary Bahamians know better and are crossing the floors across this country back to the PLP in collective voices saying, “IT’s TIME FOR A CHANGE IN THIS BAHAMAS ONCE AGAIN!”

BP, you really gotta stop man. I just check the PLP site and they have a statements up. Now they may not be as pointed and to the point as yours but you really gotta ease up with these misleading headlines man. I was mad when I read that, thinking “here we go again.” At least with this one, I get your point and, let me look out for the lightening, I actually agree with you.
We all know this is FNM propaganda and they are relying on PLP supporters to be dumb enough to fall for it and for some, its working. Picewell and Obie and Glenis ain’t crossing no floor to the FNM. They know that. If they just said Malcolm, that would be different but nobody is interested in that old news, so they had to add other names to make it more interesting and to keep people talking. Call It, I could say you are a child molesting pedophile drug addict. If you defend your name, are you saying that there is some truth to what I said about you? See how stupid that is to say?
BP, I really think you need to make up with whoever stepped on your toe in the PLP and start offering them your input on how to respond to these FNM clowns.
With all the stress and chafing the P.L.P is now experiencing, I am surprised to find that they would waste precious time defending rumours about defections, unless there is some truth to these rumors.
MAYBE it is not those named individuals who will defect, there may be others who are contemplating that move. Clearly, all is not well in the P.L.P camp.
This is going to be a long year for Perry Christie and the P.L.P.
This year will either make or break them.
The response made by Wlilchcombe, Hanna and Forbes could be substantiated, but with the determination of the FNM, they would go to any leangth to tell lies because they know that some Bahamians are soo mentally weak that once you keep repeating a lie, they would believe it.
I always find it difficult that one human being could allow another human bean to lead them to think different from what they believe in.
With this Island being so small its difficult to get the truth out if the major medias are in favour of the FNM.
The people will just have to let them (the FNM) know when the next election comes around.
JUST HOPE THAT BY THEN, THE POLICE THAT HUBERT INGRAHAM PUT IN POSTION FOR JUST THAT TIME WOULD NOT HAVE BY THEN SCARE THE MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE BY THEN AND THEY DO NOT VOTE.
SERIOUS BAHAMIANS, BE STRONG. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED AND DO NOT BELIEVE EVERYTHING THAT YOU HEAR UNLESS YOU HAVE PROOF FOR YOURSELF.
