report1<<< The photo of Darrell Cloutier issued by the Royal Bahamas Police Force to members of the WUTLESS MEDIA in 2007. A reward of $10,000 was being offered for information leading to the safe return. Bahamas Press has learned that the woman accused in his disappearance was beaten black and blue by Bahamian police but now  the case against her has been withdrawn. BP is the only news agency telling you why. This case is deep and we will expose who the real culprits are.

Nassau, Bahamas — Your Bahamas Press is on the job once again digging deep into the truth. We ask once again where is the WUTLESS Media in the Bahamas on this story? Here’s another story where you, our loyal readers, would know we are looking out for the people of this country. Here’s another story ONLY BAHAMAS PRESS will carry because we have the PEOPLE at heart.

Readers would remember back in 2007, April 11th to be exact, every member of the media reported how a Canadian construction worker went missin. Darrell Cloutier, 34, was a construction worker of  PCL Construction Bahamas on Paradise Island who did not report to work on April 11 of that year.

Media reports around Canada reported PCL officials had alerted police after they searched for Cloutier at his condo and saw that the door was open and there were groceries left in his car.

“Darrell has been with PCL for eight years,” the company said in a statement on Tuesday of his missing.

“He is a wonderful employee that has done a tremendous job in the Bahamas and was a couple of weeks away from returning to Canada. It is an awful situation and we hope he will be found safely.”

The Royal Bahamas Police Force said they have one woman in custody, whom they are questioning. They held that woman as a “person of interest”. Bahamas Press’ deep throat on the RBPF tell us the woman was beaten BLACK AND BLUE.

When the girl’s mother saw her days after she was held, she could not recognize her child. The woman was beaten beyond recognition by police officers who we know by name. The crown we’ve learnt has now withdrawn their case against the accused.

Bahamas Press has learned Cloitier has resurfaced. We understand he has mysteriously reappeared and no one is saying nothing. No one is asking where did this Canadian hide for the past two years.

Bahamas Press has the names of the officers who had severely beaten the woman and “WATER BOARDED” the young lady. Bahamas Press can confirm Inspector Chris Wright had played a pivotal role in holding this badly beaten woman for 14 days from his superiors. We now know he along with goons at CDU held her captive beyond the constitutional time leaving her for dead without any medical attention what-so-ever!

Bahamas Press decries this shameful act of ‘WICKEDNESS’ now being carried out by Reggie’s goon-squad here in the Bahamas.

Cloutier we understand returned to The Bahamas and wrote to a local judge overseeing the case; pleaded for the release of the Bahamian woman in May of this year. The case has been withdrawn and the woman released following a two-year nightmare.

Bahamas Press advises the family that their now traumatized daughter should file a malicious prosecution lawsuit against the Attorney General, The Commissioner of Police and the Prime Minister, ‘Papa Doc’, for this brutal attack against this Bahamian woman.

  1. People actually have the gall to come on this site defending, Media MATILDA!
The pied piper and his rats. Neither the Police, Brent or Reginald Ferguson published this story and until they do, Media Matilda should do the right thing and either confirm that Darrell Cloutier is alive or retract this story and apologize to the man’s family, WHICH HE PROBABLY WILL NEVER DO!

If my loved one was missing and something like this surfaced, It would build up my hopes and I will want info too.

Besides wutless this is just plain disgusting!

Stefan if you are reading this, take the reports on this site with a grain of salt and a speck of black pepper. Media Matilda has a serious credibilty problem!

I can prove it, I dare media to challenge me on his credibilty!

  2. Anne :BP you did it again!! Sensationlist Reporting, twisted “fact”, spewing political hate rather than doing good investigative reporting and finding out the truth of the matter and then reporting REAL FACTS.
And then after stirring up the pot, causing talk and gossip, distress to the victim’s family, you crawl your behind back under whatever PLP rock you hide under and leave nothing but confusion behind you. This is sad because some people actually read and believe verbatim what you post rather than using their gray matter to separate fact from fiction.
You and Picewell are really looking more and more alike daily.

Anne, you need to crawl back under your FNM rock and get off this site. Let Brent, the Acting AG or Reginald, the soon to be retired COP confirm or deny the story. You have not heard from them. Shut your wutless Hubert Butt licking mouth.

  4. Media I cry shame on you! Why would you post something like this and then leave the man family hanging!!!

    WUTLESSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LISTEN, I AM ALL FOR JUSTICE. I DO NOT SUPPORT EXCESSIVE FORCE BY OUR LAW ENFORCEMENT, BUT LIKE WITH ANY CASE ONLY EVIDENCE CAN BRING A CONVICTION AND ALSO SUPPORT ANY CLAIM. SO IF EVEIDENCE IS NOT THERE U HAVE NO CASE THATS ALL I AM SAYING. WITH RESPECT TO THE GENTLEMAN ALL THE POLICE CAN ONLY QUESTION HIM TO MAKE SURE NO CRIME WAS COMMITTED AGAINST HIM, THATS IT.I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE MAKING THESE CLAIMS AND NOT BRINGING EVIDENCE THAT IS NEEDED TO CONVICT, SO WE WASTE TIME AND MONEY FOR CASES WE KNOW ITS GOING TO GET THROW OUT FOR LACK EVIDENCE. BAHAMIANS NEED TO GO TO PROPER AUTHORITIES FIRST RATHER THAN GOING TO THE MEDIA TO COMPLAIN. THIS IS WHY THE TEACHER FROM FREEPORT GOT AWAY. WE BLAMING THE MINISTER, BUT THE POLICE CAN ONLY ACT IF AN OFFICIAL COMPLAINT IS MADE BY THE PARENTS OR GUARDIAN OF THE CHILD. BUT THEY WERE TO BUSY ON ZNS. WHEN INTERVIEWED POLICE OFFICIALS STATED THAT THE WERE NOT DOING AYTHING BECAUSE NO OFFICIAL COMPLAINT WAS LAUNCHED. HAD A COMPLAINT BEEN LAUNCHED WITH THE POLICE FIRST THE TEACHER WOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED AND WITH SUFFICIENT EVIDENCE CHARGE HIM AND AS THE OTHER COMPLAINTS COME IN HE WOULD HAVE BEEN REMANDED AND THE OTHER CASES COULD HAVE BEEN DEALT WITH.

  6. Media this is the same thing I row you for on Sunday, you posted this story and would not even show your face to confirm to Darrell Cloutier’s family, if it is true or not!

    This is just WUTLESS!!!

HAS THE MAN SURFACED OR NOT??? HIS FAMILY MEMBERS NEED TO KNOW.

  7. @MEDIA
Could you please find out who the Lawyer is that filed the appeal(stay of execution) right after the Govt announced the name of the individual who was suppose to be hanged. I smell something real fishy there! Because I believe that this Govt really didn’t want to put that name out, but because of public outcry they did – but planned the next step of the appeal (which we know will take forever). Please, Media, look into this…mmmmh

  8. I have contacted the atourney general and will be speaking with my government contacts in the morning, as well I have my lawyer from the bahamas looking into this. This is very disturbing to me and my family.

  9. This is Darrell’s brother from Canada. Where did this information come from. My Brother is still missing. What is going on in this country. I have not had any info from the police in 2 years. I will be speaking with my government officials asap.

  10. LOU :
I told you guys long time (since last October) that the CDU were now the “GESTAPO” ! I knew from experience..not from what I heard! But like I also said, that if they keep that up…then what happened yesterday (officer shot at by suspects in car) will probably be the norm! The sad thing about all this, is that too many of the young, good officers will be shot at too….It’s a very sad, downward spiral affair! Good Lord…help us !!

LOU, you right on! Time will tell, and I would remember it was “LOU” who gave the warning.

  12. WELL MUDDOS, WE CAN’T EVEN MANAGE/RUN THE JUSTICE SYSTEM HERE, AND LAING ON THE NEWS TALKING ABOUT ARBITRATION COURT….THEY MAD HEY?

  13. Where is Bahamas information services?Do they still exist? We demand answers and someone needs to give a statement explaining this matter.I do not agree with BPs call for a civil suit but remember it was PAPA who first put out the call for civil suits when Haitians had been deported in 2006.Life is a circle and now PAPA as Minister of Finanace with meager funds might have to pay.

  14. AND SO PITBULL THIS MEANS you agree a woman can be withheld for over 48 hours, beaten black and blue like a dog and she should not be given justice. Not cause ‘Papa Doc’ running the country it means we in the country should accept the unjustice by these criminals ya know. Why didn’t the CDU beat and “Water Board” Andre Birbal that way? WHY???? Why beat women like that?

  15. THE GENTLEMAN IN THIS SITUATION DOES NOT NEED TO BE ARRESTED BECAUSE HE COMMITTED NO OFFENCE. HE IS AN ADULT AND UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE BAHAMAS, FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT. THERE IS NO WAY THE POLICE CAN HOLDANY ONE LONGER THAN 48HRS WITHOUT AND EXTENTION GIVEN BY A MAGISTRATE. IF THE YOUNG LADY WAS BEATEN I WOULD HOPE SHE HAD GONE TO THE COMPLAINTS AND CORRUPTION BRANCH AND FILED A COMPLAINT AFTER SEEKING MEDICAL ATTENTION AND RECEIVING A DOCTORS REPORT. IF NOT SHE HAS NO CASE TWO YEARS DOWN THE ROAD, FOR ALL EVIDENCE WOULD NO LONGER EXSISTS.

    • The man disappeared for 2 years. Everyone had him for dead. He never came out and said I am not dead. A Bahamian woman was beaten black and blue by police and yinner don’t see nothing wrong with this? VELL MUDDO!

BP, from these 2 paragraphs the timing is not all clear:

When the girl’s mother saw her days after she was held, she could not recognize her child. The woman was beaten beyond recognition by police officers who we know by name. The crown we’ve learnt has now withdrawn their case against the accused.

I interpret that paragraph to mean the young lady’s mother saw her at the end of the two year period. I have family members who were locked up and got beat up a few days before they were let go. Thats where my mind was on this paragraph.

    .

Cloutier we understand returned to The Bahamas and wrote to a local judge overseeing the case; pleaded for the release of the Bahamian woman in May of this year. The case has been withdrawn and the woman released following a two-year nightmare.

This is the paragraph that had my mind in a twist. the Canadian came to the Bahamas 2 years after he was reported missing and asked the judge to release her? why ask to release her if she had already been released 2 years prior? Thats why i asked you if i am misunderstanding this post.

Maybe its just me, but the way these two paragraphs are written doesnt bring clarity.

  17. @Altec
Now Altec you gata read the story. The woman was a friend of the man. She was arrested for 14 days BEATEN simply on suspicion. He was dragged before the courts for the matter and not until this year, 2009, he matter was withdrawn from the courts. I say this is outlandish!

  18. BP, let me get this straight, this lady was locked up for 2 years on nothing more than “suspicion”? Thats worse than the beating she got. the police could only hold you for 72 hrs max and then by law they have to release you. Please tell me i am misunderstanding that.

They giving murders and rapist bail but they locking up innocent people?

This Canadian fella show up 2 years later and the police didnt question him at all? The minute he hit the airport the police should have picked him up for questioning.

BP this story cant be true. The RBPF cant be this dumb.

  19. Think Bahamas! It is a fact that the Police in the Bahamas routinely abuse Bahamians in their custody. The criminals have no respect for the law because the law have no respect for the law.

  20. Before you cast judgment on us in this matter, let us share our concerns here.

    1) The man who has resurfaced and is here in the country should be arrested!

    2) The woman should be compensated.

    3) The Wutless media should have reported this.

    4) The criminal minded officers should hang their heads in SHAME for what they did to a woman.

  21. BP you guys r not real… you sound like the Republican party… cuttin off your nose to spite your face. If the sue you pay, the public pays… be careful what you wish for. The Government represent you rather you like it or not.. Real smart in suggesting the law suite without knowing the facts… You have set judgmnt on the fine men in uniform… I guess in your eyes white is right…. BP your self absorb in hate… lets not rush to judgement on things ie Picwell Forbes…
