TRAFFIC ACCIDENT Gladstone Road and Fire Trail Roads
Sometime around 9:35 pm on Friday 18th February, 2011 a traffic accident occurred at Gladstone Road and Fire Trail Road involving a 2009 Crown Victoria L/P 174052 and a 2001 Daewoo Labos Truck L/P19804 driven by a 37 year old male, with five (5) people at the rear. It is reported that the Crown Victoria was traveling south on Gladstone Road and the Daewoo Truck north on Gladstone Road when the two collided. The five (5) people on board the truck received injuries and were taken to hospital via EMS personnel. At present their condition is unknown. Police investigations continue.
DRUG ARREST on Milton Street off East Street
Shortly before 7:00 am on Sunday 20th February, 2011 officers of the Southern Division were on patrol on Milton Street off East Street when they observed a male acting suspiciously. Officers conducted a search of the male and recovered a quantity of suspected cocaine. The 21 year old of Lily of the Valley Corner was taken into custody. Police investigations continue.
SHOOTING at Baillou Hill Road north of Dillet Street
Sometime around 10:00 pm on Sunday 20th February, 2011 police received information of a shooting at Baillou Hill Road north of Dillet Street. Police responded and information received that a 68 year old male was at his residence when he heard noises at his door. It is reported that as the victim attempted to inquire of the noise and was subsequently shot to the chest by another male armed with a handgun. The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel where he is detained in critical condition. The culprit fled the area on foot in an unknown direction. Police are investigating.
