Police Crime Report

MARIJUANA PLANTS CONFISCATED
Sometime around 12:33 pm on Thursday 25th March, 2010 police received information that a male was cultivating suspected marijuana plants at 2nd Street, Coconut Grove.  Police responded and discovered nineteen (19) suspected marijuana pants at the rear of a home among tomato pants.  A 51 year old Haitian national was taken into custody.  Police are investigating.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 4:14 pm on Thursday 25th March, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Maycocks Take Away, Young Street off East Street. Police responded and information received an employee was serving a dark male clad in a short sleeve white shirt and long black jeans on a bicycle when the man  allegedly produced a handgun demanding cash.  The male robbed the store of an undetermined amount of cash and fled the area heading west on Young Street.  Police are investigating.

WANTED PERSON CAPTURED
Sometime around 8:15 pm on Thursday 25th March, 2010 while at the Government Complex  on Hospital Lane, officers of the Central Division arrested CHARLES EDWARD CUNNINGHAM AGE 21 YEARS OF COWPEN ROAD.

MURDER # 20
Sometime before 2:00 am on Friday 26th March, 2010 police received information of a shooting in the Sunshine Park area.  Police responded and information received a male and a female were inside a vehicle on Moonshine Drive, when they were approached by another male known to the female. It is reported the male, allegedly armed with a handgun fired gunshots at the male and female which resulted in both persons receiving gunshot injuries.  Both persons were transported to hospital via EMS personnel. The female age 18 years of Moonshine Drive, is listed in serious but stable condition.  The male, a 38 year old resident of Cowpen Road succumbed to his injuries.  Police are following significant leads into the matter.  Investigations continue.

MURDER #21
Sometime around 3:25 am on Friday 26th March, 2010 police received information of gunshots being heard in the area of Shirley Street. Police responded and upon arrival discovered the lifeless body of a male on Dowdeswell Street clad in a black shirt, blue and black short pants with gunshot injuries to the head and back.  The circumstances surrounding this incident is unknown at this time, however police are investigating and appealing to members of the public who have any information regarding this incident to contact them.  ID: RODNE FERTILIEN AGE 24YEARS OF YORK STREET.
