Two die over the weekend…

Nassau, Bahamas – Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the persons responsible for two separate shooting incidents that have left a man dead and another detained in hospital.

In the first incident shortly after 11:00pm last night (Sunday 23rd October 2016), a man was walking through Peter Street off East Street when he was shot. The man was transported to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

In the second incident shortly after 1:00am this morning (Monday 24th October 2016), police received a report of gunshots being heard in the area of Polhemus Street off Nassau Street. When police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of a male through a track between Polhemus and Dean Streets, who had been shot. The male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Meanwhile in Abaco over the weekend a man was fatally shot dead following an altercation. Police are holding the suspected shooting one Lorenso Pritchard, who is believed to have allegedly killed Christopher Heild in the ordeal. Police are investigating.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects in several shooting incidents that have left a man dead and five persons detained in hospital.

In the first incident, shortly after 7:00am on Friday 21st October 2016, a man was standing in front of his home located at Moncur Alley off Kemp Road, when a male armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing in a silver Honda Fit vehicle license number 320478.

Later that evening, shortly before 11:00pm, a man was involved in an argument with another male on Miami Street that led to him being shot with a handgun. The suspect fled on foot.

Then shortly after 12:00midnight on Saturday 22nd October 2016, police received a report of a man found dead on Lincoln Boulevard. When Police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of an adult male who had been shot. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

In the final incident, shortly after 2:30am on Saturday 22nd October 2016, a man was involved in an altercation with another man at a nightclub located on Fox Hill and Sugar Hill Roads that led to him being shot. Also a Male and female patrons of the club were shot as a result of the altercation. The three victims were transported to hospital where they remain in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.

ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS BEING SOUGHT BY POLICE

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for two separate armed robberies.

In the first incident, shortly after 11:00am on Friday 21st October 2016, a man was sitting in his vehicle in front of a business establishment on Madeira Street, when a male armed with a handgun approached and robbed him of cash him before fleeing in a gold Honda Accord vehicle license number 171839.
