DRUG ARREST
Sometime around 1:15pm on Friday 18th June, 2010 officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant on a residence at West Ridge Estates.  Officers searched and discovered a total of forty – eight (48) pounds of suspected marijuana, with a street value of sixty- seven thousand, two hundred ($ 67, 200.00) dollars.  A 32 year old resident of Hampton Ridge was taken into custody.  Police are continuing their investigations.

ARMED ROBBERY
Sometime around 9:30pm on Friday 18th June, 2010 police received information of an armed robbery at Tyler Street off Boyd Road.  Police responded and information received that a female while on Tyler Street was approached by two males one of whom was allegedly armed with a handgun demanding cash.  It is reported the culprits robbed the female of her handbag containing an undetermined amount of cash and personal items.  The culprits fled the area on foot in an unknown direction.  Police are investigating.

TRAFFIC FATALITY #24 – ALLIGATOR BAY, LONG ISLAND
Shortly after 2:00 am on Saturday 19th June, 2010 police at Long Island received information of a traffic accident on Queens Highway in the settlement of Alligator Bay, Long Island, near Roberts Hardware.  Police responded and met a white Cherokee Jeep L/P 1044 overturned.  It is reported that the jeep, which was occupied by a single male was traveling north on Queens Highway when the driver lost control which resulted in the vehicle being overturned.  The victim, a 45 year old male of Oneil’s, Long Island, was taken to the local clinic where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.  A team of officers from the traffic division New Providence has been flown into Long Island to assist with the investigations. Police investigations continue.

DROWNING
Sometime around 10:00 am on Saturday 19th June, 2010 police received information of a drowning at Woodes Rogers Walk.  Police responded and information received that a dark male was found unresponsive in waters at Woodes Rogers Wharf.  It is reported that the male, who is believed to be in his twenties (20) was diving when the incident occurred.  The victim was retrieved from the water and pronounced dead by EMS personnel.  Police are investigating.

STABBING
Sometime around 5:15 pm on Saturday 19th June, 2010 police received information of a stabbing at Woodes Rogers Walk. Police responded and information received that two males got into an altercation which resulted in a 46 year old male of Pastel Gardens being stabbed multiple times to the body.  The victim was taken to hospital via EMS personnel. At present his condition is unknown.  Police are questioning a 29 year old male of East Street in connection with this incident.  Investigations continue.
