Daily Mail (UK) has reported that the Earl and Countess of Wessex are currently skiing in St. Moritz with friends, and HRH The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward is expected in The Bahamas next week.
It was announced last year that HRH was invited to visit in support of the country’s Governor General Youth Award (GGYA) Programme. The Earl of Wessex has been committed to the work of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award since he achieved his Gold Award in 1986.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force has informed that they and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers, in collaboration with the GGYA Programme, will gather on 3 March 2016 at the Coral Harbour Base to meet His Royal Highness.
In 2011, HRH visited Grand Bahama Island.
