Nassau, Bahamas – The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced temporary road closures beginning the week of October 24 as part of the redevelopment plan for Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre.

In an effort to complete roadworks on the western side of Yellow Elder Way, motorists are advised that Gardiner’s Court will be closed to carry out curbing and base work in preparation for asphalt paving.

Once roadworks have been completed on Gardiner’s Way similar construction works will take place on Melvern Road.

Motorists are advised that they will not be able to enter Yellow Elder Way from Gardiner’s Way or Melvern Road. Instead, motorists are advised to use the alternative route and travel west on to Albury Street, south to Tonique Williams-Darling Way and east along Tonique Williams-Darling Way to continue eastbound.

Temporary road closure will take place on West Dennis Court and Graham Drive once roadworks have been completed on Gardiner’s Way and Melvern Road.

The roadworks are expected to be completed in two months.
