Country records second double murder just days apart – Murder count climbs to 95 –

Police must be given the chance to stem the tide or more people will die!

Nassau Bahamas — Police are requesting the public’s assistance in solving two shooting incidents that have left two men dead on Friday 8th November 2013.

In the first incident, around 11:15pm, police received a report that a male was shot on Myrton Avenue off Farrington Road. Police arrived on the scene and met the lifeless body of a male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. EMS personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

A short while later around 11:18pm, police received a report that a man turned up to hospital (PMH) with a gunshot wound. Responding officers visited the man at the hospital and discovered that he was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper thigh area. Details as to where this latest incident occurred remain sketchy.

The victim succumbed to his injuries around 6:00am this morning (Saturday 9th November 2013)

Police are actively investigating both incidents and are appealing to members of the public with any information, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands).
