The 'Salt' Symonette and 'Emperor' Knowles connection

Nassau, Bahamas: What do these two men have in common? Some will answer, private business. Others will answer, outdoor toilets. And, the majority will say FNM dirty dealings. We say ALL OF THE ABOVE.

Just before election 2007, Dion “Emperor” Knowles mysteriously appeared on the scene on a one-way ticket out of Her Majesty’s Prison aka Fox Hill Prison. No one knows how a man with so many charges against his name was LET OUT of prison, just like Ashley Newbold.

Dion, the self claimed Emperor of Fox Hill, hung around at first with his usual drug dealing camerades and then supposedly stepped into the light making a “fresh start”. He linked up with Brent Symonette and started a campaign in Fox Hill to rid all residents of outdoor plumbing. What Bahamas Press feels happened is the the WHITE HOPE, Brent Symonette was too scared to go full force into Fox Hill, heart of the BLACK people, so he linked up some how with the Emperor and let him “donate” a few TERLETS to some old people in Fox Hill in exchange for a few FNM votes or a few places to stash some of the Emperors drugs.

So the Emperor was seen on TV hugging a crying old lady while exposing the fact she was getting this new toilet. Poor soul! That old lady probably was crying because Emperor Dion threatened her to register and vote for Brent or risk getting a gangland style cut hip in her old age.

Just after election when there were no more TERLETS to give away and of course his “friend” Brent forgot about him – usual traits of the FNM politicians – Dion was in trouble again. He shot and killed his own nephew, gangland style, for “disrespecting” him. It was the talk of the town – Emperor on the Run ! Emperor kills nephew ! No more free TERLETS in Fox Hill !! Every newspaper carried his name but his “friend” Brent sat in the dark, with not even a lamp on, sweating bullets, trembling and praying no one remembered his affiliation with bad boy Emperor Dion. Shouldn’t his friend Brent have sent a message to him via the same ZNS that the Emperor used to show the new TERLETS, to tell him to turn himself in? To date, Brent is quiet.

Is Brent quiet because he doesnt want anyone to remember the affiliation or is he quiet as he does not want the Emperor to GET HIS GROOVE BACK and start singing like a well fed canary in a tree.

Brent please tell Bahamas Press what your intentions are for your “friend” now that he is back in Fox Hill Prison with his drug dealing, murdering buddies. Do you intend to visit him bearing gifts of tooth paste, cracker jacks and KY jelly? Or is it your intent to continue to ignore the fact that you won your St. Anne’s Constituency seat by using the services of a drug dealing, murdering convict to assist with your campaign? Please tell us. Inquiring minds want to know.

  9. Pirate from Webster’s dictionary:
-A ship used by people who rob or otherwise attack shipping on the high seas.
On that note, only one Bahamian political party bragged of having a ship the name was the SS “you know who”.
The then leader often told his mates “steady boys”.

  10. LMAO … so perry them wasnt “pirates” then they Saints ????? lmao yinna soooooooooooooooooooo backward no politician is a saint cus no one seems to be willing to do what is right for the majority even if that means they will suffer and bahamians just takes what eva shit they dishing and swallow , i honestly dnt c how we can blame the governement BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT IS POWERLESS WITHOUT HE PEOPLE but if the people dnt kno what they what and are not willing to work towards it then blame no one but ourselves … MYSELF included

  11. WOW, I never thought of what you just said but its true. We dont need Woodes Rodgers. If Hubbigety and his boys hop a flight and leave…….we would be rid of our Pirates.
In the famous words of Robert Nesta Marley aka Bob Marley, “Old Pirates yes they rob I…..”

  12. This is some serious stuff right here. So Brent Almighty been dabbling with Rastafari? I guess it aint long now before Brent show up to the House of Assembly with dreadlocks. “Iyah Bingy”.
But on the serious, its obvious Salt use Emperor in this case. For being a supposed smart man of the streets, Emperor got screwed this go round. I hope Brent Brings him the KY Jelly at Fox Hell Prison cause he ga need it.

  13. GCF, they don’t have to study Woodes Rodgers. If the governing party just jumped on a plane and left….. we would be rid of the biggest gang of pirates in the country!

  14. LIKE I SAID THE BAHAMAS IS THE ONLY COUNTRY WHERE EVERYBODY LOOK NORMAL AND HALF ACTUALLY CRAZY AS HELL!

  15. Our Government system should study Governor Woods Rodgers, and his ability to rid Pirates from these islands. It is good model our system should follow, in all areas of piracy that is taking place in our country today.
Governor Woods Rodgers around 1717 came to the Bahama islands and served as the first governor here, expelling pirates and bringing orderly government.

  16. Tommy “T” and me, responsible for ZNS (Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas),
“O my”, now two (2) graves holes are dug. His political popularity is certainly destroyed.

  17. I don’t blame Emperor or Brent.
The responsiblilty is on the law enforcement officers.
Did earth opened up and swallowed them?
There maybe a message in the episode that took place at Goodman’s Bay last week, with the Police officers.
The GOOD MASTER in my opinion is sending us a message, beginning with those that are responsible of keeping law and order.
There are a few records in history to show how the earth opened up and swallowed people, mainly because they where not doing what the MASTER required of them.
    Think on these things.

  18. Just so amazed at the way you covered this “story” … HOW PROFESSIONAL !!!, and this is why you are regarded as a “respectable and reliable” News source
