Nassau, Bahamas – PARENTS ARE IN AN UPROAR AT THE ONCE PRESTIGIOUS METHODIST SCHOOL KNOWN AS QUEEN’S COLLEGE. APPARENTLY, SOME 12TH GRADERS WHO HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED FOR VARIOUS REASONS ARE SUBJECT TO NOT BEING ALLOWED TO GRADUATE THIS SPRING. ONE OF THESE 12TH GRADERS ‘IS NOT,’ WE REPEAT, ‘IS NOT,’ MINISTER OF EDUCATION, CARL BETHEL’S SON! FOR HIM AND HIS SERIOUS INFRACTION OF THE SCHOOL RULES AND THE LAWS OF THE BAHAMAS–THE BEAT GOES ON.
IN A SIMILAR CASE OF THE RULES BEING GOOD FOR SOME AND NOT APPLICABLE FOR OTHERS, ONE MONTH AGO A FEMALE STUDENT ASKED THE TEACHER TO BE EXCUSED TO USE THE BATHROOM, THE TEACHER REFUSED TO GIVE HER PERMISSION, AND TO AVOID A HYGENIC DISASTER, THE FEMALE STUDENT LEFT THE CLASSROOM AND WENT TO THE BATHROOM. UPON RETURNING TO THE CLASSROOM THE STUDENT WAS SUSPENDED FROM SCHOOL FOR TWO WEEKS!
AND WHAT IS THE MORAL OF THIS SAGA?
IF YOU REFUSE TO URINATE ON YOUR SELF, YOU ARE SUSPENDED FOR TWO WEEKS. BUT IF YOU ARE CAUGHT WITH A MINOR HAVING ORAL SEX PERFORMED ON YOU, YOU ARE ONLY SUSPENDED FOR ONE WEEK OR LESS!
WE AT BAHAMAS PRESS CAN UNDERSTAND HOW THE FNM MINISTERS, THE FNM CHAIRMAN AND THEIR RELATIVES CAN RATIONALIZE THIS DOUBLE STANDARD. BUT HOW CAN THE VENERABLE METHODIST DENOMINATION ALLOW THEIR SCHOOL TO DEGENERATE INTO A DUPLICITOUS, IMMORAL AND ILLEGAL STATE OF BEING?
i think all of this is so vicious let the parents the police and the school deal with this situation. the young girl in question wasnot 13 and media you know that,, this is just your way of blowing things out of control for your party,, stop this nonsense and think about these kids.

We are ASHAMED OF ALL THE LEADERSHIP INVOLVED! Particularly the administration, who still lead the once PRESTIGIOUS QUEEN’S COLLEGE which have hidden this crime against a 13 year old CHILD, from the relevant POLICE authority! Young 13 year olds CANNOT FIND SAFETY AT THAT INSTITUTION ANYMORE!
Where do a young 14, 13, 12 or even 10 year old who has been MOLESTED turn to when the administration leadership at that school, would do everything in its power to cover up the CRIME?
The Church, Yes the Venerable Methodist CHURCH which has now final authority and final say in this entire matter must now get in and rescue the once good name of Queen’s College, seeing that the entire administration leadership within the school has no GOOD MORAL judgement anymore!

I am so ashamed of what you people are doing to our genration of kids, we all make mistakes, none of us are perfect, yes they are wrong for what happen in the school, but instead of brutalizing people’s reputation why not get together and counsel these children,I have three children therefore I do beleive that all is not lost for our young people.
You know it is sickening to see what levels you people would sink to for politicical gains.

These are juvenilles and the school, the parents and the police ONLY need to deal with this!!
Realize that if you don’t have children you have nieces, nephews and cousins who are juvenilles. How would you feel having them smeared in public!! Another PLP MPs child did disgraceful acts about two years at the same school with an adult. The parents and the school dealt with it and no matter what the name was not divulged to the press.
Stop trying to disgrace our children, whether they are children of politicians or not!!

HA, HA, HA!! I noticed that you gone to QC website and STOLE their website banner and splash page concept with the three pictures to create the image of Bethel, Laing and Turnquest. I know their website, http://www.qchenceforth.com has a copy block on it and your teefing ways allow you to teef the people picture. I try to get one picture from it before and one message come up telling me to leave the people pictures alone. Man you gatta stop. This is just too funny. HA HA HA HA!! You know QC win the website awards for their site. I tell you QC good at wat they do. And wait, you teef their library picture too in your first story. HA HA HA!!! LOL!!! You know its a good ting you cut off that girl face. You could go to jail if you didn’t. You know QC could now have charges brought against you for stealing. You better take them images off before someone at the school find out. Man you better than that. Stop being like the media or the FNM that you hate so much.
Well, well. I’m back again. BP!! Please stop publishing lies about Queen’s College. I know as a fact that this situation above NEVER, NEVER, NEVER happened before. And any person knows this as well. You mess up with this stupid story and make yourself look really bad.
You really need to stop trying to destroy people’s minds with lies just because you have a personal vendetta against the Tribune, the FNM (or QC). Even if the stupid fabricated story you said above did happen, everyone associated with QC knows without a doubt that QC does not suspend its students for two weeks. If you are suspended for more than a week you are actually asked to leave the school (they don’t expel students either). No one is EVER suspended for more than one week. Anyone can read this fact in the school’s rule book. I have one – do you?
I checked with MY very well placed source (far better than the gossip chain that you follow) and I can confirm without a doubt that:
1. The story about the four person panel in a previous posting is a complete lie. Queen’s College rules have no panel system and there was never any four person panel. Ask anyone associated with the school.
2. The girl in the situation is NOT 13. Ask anyone associated with the school.
3. Bradley Roberts’ understanding of the situation is as big as his understanding of the word “integrity”. Ask anyone living in the Bahamas.
4. The situation did not occur in a classroom, or during school hours or during a school function. Ask anyone associated with the school.
5. Who told you that the boy is going to graduate? You finally speak to the school aye? Cuz they told me he wasn’t. And the truth is that we will never know? Anyone who was to a QC graduation in the last 10 years can tell you that QC always put the student first and even if you are not graduating, the school lets all grade 12 to walk across the stage with their heads high and spares you the embarrassment of not walking. Ask anyone associated with the school. Student receive their graduation diploma in the mail about one week after graduation. Children who didnt graduate get a official letter to say that they attended QC.
6. And – THERE IS NOT AND THERE WAS NEVER ANY VIDEO TAPE. My child showed me where the thing happen and anyone can see for themself that there is no camera in that area.
Come on Bahamas Press, you are intelligent gentlemen with great intentions. Honestly think about it, do you really feel that with all the press about this situation that the police have not questioned the school about it and realize that the school, the kids or their parents do not have a case to answer to?
My kids attend QC and QC has been great to them and every other family I know. I take these attacks very personal because I am proud of what the school is doing to push their students. My child is graduating this year and because of what the school is doing he is going to be a second year college student when he goes off. I am no longer going to sit back and allow you to destroy the school’s reputation. Here is my ultimatum (since you like to make them) – any other further attacks against the school with result in my action against this site. If you have the capability to do an IP trace on your postings you will see that I have the know how to do so. Here is a hint – Mr. CF
This has nothing to do with the FNM, in fact I didnt even vote in last election. Its all about QC. I don’t mind you spreading gossip about politicians, lawyers, businesses, government departments or even churches, but when you go after schools who don’t have the resources or experience to defend themselves – its shameful.
Get a life – move on. If you need a new story I have juicey one about a scam going on at a popular bank in the Bahamas. Here’s a hint, the group has this little song “$1 here, $1 there, just $1 and no one will notice or care”. Did you notice it?
well we can obviously see who votes for whom on this site but i wonder if anyone will speak about all the things Perry Christie’s daughter who went to QC as well was into and all the stuff that got handled for her mmm guess not my thing is if u dont work to QC stay out if you dont go to QC stay your self out cause even up to this point the story still wrong damn gossipin nosey bahamian people jsut ruining these young kids reputation.
