Freeport, Grand Bahama – Reports are that on Sunday 13th December 2015, shortly after 11:00am, Law Enforcement Officials were alerted by U.S counterparts that a makeshift raft was intercepted in Bahamian waters with (30) male Cuban Nationals.
The illegal immigrants were taken to Grand Bahama and handed over to Immigration authorities. Investigation is continuing in this matter.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919/911 or Crime Stoppers at 328-tips (8477) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands) or your nearest police station.
