Man shot fatally on Fire Trail Road EAST right now….police at the scene…
Andros, Bahamas – Breaking news coming into Bahamas Press confirms police have made a drug arrest on the island of Andros.
We can tell you two suspect are en-route to the capital and will arrive via the Police Marine Base, Bay Street this morning.
The drug bust was a joint operation involving the Drug Enforcement Unit, the Police Marine Support Services and officers from the North Andros District early this morning.
Preliminary reports are that around 3:00am, the joint operation team acting on intelligence conducted a
major land and sea operation in North Andros that resulted in the discovery of a number of packages
containing a large amount of marijuana on the rear of a truck at Mastic Point. Two men ages 51 and 45
from Mastic Point were taken into custody. Police are searching for several other men in connection with
this seizure.
Meanwhile Bahamas PRESS is right now at the scene of an active homicide investigation where a man was found dead outside a home on Fire Trail Road East; just beyond the curve. We can report the victim was fatally shot.
Police are investigating.
