Prosecutors are seeking the DEATH PENALTY for Thorne Edwards – GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!

Nassau, Bahamas — A unanimous guilty verdict has been handed down this afternoon against Thorne Edwards in the murder of businessman Richard Kurt McCartney in the Supreme Court. He was also found guilty of robbing McCartney at gunpoint by a count of 9- 3.
Two of his alleged accomplices, Okell Farrington and Sumya Ingraham, were both acquitted while another accused, Lyndera Curry, was found guilty of manslaughter and armed robbery by a count of 11 – 2.
Bahamas Press can reveal prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in relation to Edwards for the October 24, 2013 incident, which took place in Gambier.
While all defendants stood motionless in the court as the verdicts were being read relatives of Curry became emotional as they all left court washed in tears.
Sentencing for the pair was set down for February 29th, 2016.
The late Kurt McCartney is the brother of DNA Leader Branville McCartney. No comment following the guilty verdict has come from relatives of the deceased.
