Bar closes down while BP was inside…

Nassau, Bahamas — Bahamas Press was live sipping a cold one at a nightclub on Bay Street when the police showed up and cut the music. [We was like Vell Mudda sick-it!]

We were in the midst of an anti-crime operation which mission is to disrupting crime groups and targeting persons involved in criminal activities –[BOY WHAT THIS WE GOT OUR SELVES INTO]. But before we should show the officers our passport as we laid flat on the floor like a penny – three persons were arrested.

And get this: Officers from the police anti-crime unit acting on intelligence, descended on a nightclub on Bay Street and Victoria Avenue shortly after 1:00am, where they met a woman from Jamaica along with a Bahamian woman whom they suspected to be at that location, for the purpose of solicitation for prostitution.

The women were taken into custody. An adult male, who is the club’s owner, was also arrested for breach of the Business License Act.

Before we left we begged the bar tender, “Boss this place ga close anyway – give me a free cold beer for the road…”

BP tipped out the back door and that was the news…

We report yinner decide!
