U.S. Embassy Hosts Warden Conference

U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. John Armstrong along with Consular section representatives and wardens from The Bahamas and TCI.

On Friday, September 28, the U.S. Consular Section hosted its first Warden Conference at the U.S. Embassy.  The one-day forum brought together the Embassy’s designated wardens from throughout New Providence, the Family Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) to discuss their role in assisting American citizens who travel and reside abroad.   On hand to open the event was U.S. Chargé d’Affaires a.i. John Armstrong who highlighted the indispensible role that U.S. Embassy wardens play in The Bahamas and TCI in assisting Americans who find themselves in situations of distress.

The conference participants included Shirlee Butler-Turner of Grand Bahama; Michelle Walsh and Charles Smith of Exuma; Antoinette Stuart of Bimini; Juanita Fox and Jane Holland of Nassau; Rebecca Valrejean of Inagua; Shaun Daniels and Augustine Razo representing AUTEC on Andros; William Bass of Abaco and Angela Aquino of TCI.
