Nassau, The Bahamas – With crime figures exploding to an all time high in The Bahamas, police released the identities of two fellow officers whom allegedly have contributed to the unabated tide of criminal activity in the country.
Arraigned before Magistrate Court in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama were officers 749 Gustavis Roker, 34 and PC 301 David Glinton, 27 both stationed at the Eight Mile Rock division. Both men were formally charged for the indictable offense of burglary, and a second of causing damage to home of one Larry Getty of Larry Getty Resort with the intent to commit the felony.
The men were not required to enter a plea to the burglary charge, but pleaded not guilty to causing damage charge.
Magistrate Gwen Claude adjourned the case to May 22, at 10AM which will begin a preliminary inquiry into the incident. Both officers were granted $5,000 bail with two sureties. The officers were ordered to report to the Eight Mile Rock Police Station – where they served were stationed – every Friday before 9AM.
Both officers were relieved of their duties pending the outcome of their court case.
